Cool Programmers Don't Chat 24/7
I wanted to join a Russian Telegram chat with cracked Russian programmers.
I joined one.
The chat was seemingly active.
There were a lot of people.
I started chatting.
Noticed that no one is really cool except 3 guys.
Having fun, chatting, cracking jokes, sending memes is one thing -,
but you see it when the person you're talking to isn't really bright.
A week later,
Someone joins:
- (me:) How many languages do you speak?
- Five [starts naming them, telling why he speaks them...]. Came here to talk and learn about programming.
- There are only degens here. Everyone is talking off-topic. There are only 3-4 smart guys, but they talk here once a day — and that's if they do talk about programming. save yourself, get the hell out of here lol
- Haha, I'm sure there are people brighter than me here when it comes to programming.
Sure...
Four 20-something-year-old guys got mad at me.
Actually cussed me out for 20 minutes.
Moral of the story: cracked programmers don't sit in chats and talk 24/7.
(exception is x the everything app — a lot of cracked guys chat there)
